Timothy M. Hillios, of Melrose, died peacefully at home on June 9, 2024 at the age of 46. He was born in Springfield, MA on July 15, 1977 to Josephine (Banel) Hillios and the late Melvin Hillios. He was raised in Chicopee, MA and graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School, he would go on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Clarkson University and a Master's Degree from Tufts University.

Tim married the love of his life, Sarah (Hackett) Hillios, in 2009 and settled in Melrose to raise their two wonderful daughters. He loved soccer and was thrilled to be able to share his love of the sport by coaching his daughter's teams. He was an honorable and good man who loved his family passionately and believed in the importance of family and community. A true New Englander, he loved the Red Sox and Patriots, lobster rolls, and the beach. He was very proud and grateful to be a part of the Melrose community and honored by all the help provided to him and his family.

Tim was the beloved husband of Sarah Hillios from Melrose. He was the proud and loving father of Madison and Alexa. He was the cherished son of Josephine Hillios and the late Melvin Hillios, caring brother of Candice Siegenthaler & her husband Michael, Tara Paquette & her husband John, and Matthew Hillios and Dieu Nguyen. Loving brother-in-law of Sun Wha Kim & her husband Sam, Benjamin Hackett & his wife Stephanie, and Jeremiah Hackett & his wife Angela. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 4 Herbert St., Melrose, on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow the mass at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the PACT Program, Massachusetts General Hospital, 125 Nashua St., Suite 540, Boston, MA 02114-1101.
