Victor E. McCurdy, of Lynn, died at the Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody on June 27, 2014 at the age of 87. Victor was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, raised in Lynn, a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lynn and Salem State College. He worked as a Specification Engineer for the Norelco Corp. in Lynn for 45 years before his retirement in 1990. Victor was a lifelong Lynn resident, an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. He was one of the original board of directors & former president at My Brothers Table in Lynn. Victor was a longtime member, usher and Eucharistic Minister at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Lynnfield, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and loved to spend his time at his grandchildren's sporting events. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy T. (Quigley) McCurdy. Loving father of Jim McCurdy & his wife Pamela of Dover, Steve McCurdy & his wife Joyce of Milton, Kevin McCurdy & his partner Roger Ablahat of CA and Maureen Keiran & her fiancé Michael Curley of Ipswich. Cherished grandfather of Jon, Courtney, Zach, Samantha, Lizzy, Madison and Will. Caring brother of Marguerite Brown of Peabody. Also survived by several nieces & nephews. A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 758 Salem St., Lynnfield on Saturday, July 12th at 10AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend.
