Victoria Lora DiBartolo passed away at her home in Wakefield on Christmas Day, December 25, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was 86 years of age. Mrs. DiBartolo was born and raised in East Boston, she lived in Lexington for 36 years before moving to Wakefield 13 years ago. Victoria was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and aunt who cherished spending time with her family. She was an excellent cook, worked part time in the jewelry department at Sears in Burlington for many years and was a former member of St. Bridget Church in Lexington. Mrs. DiBartolo was the beloved wife of 62 years to her husband Joseph. Devoted mother to her 4 daughters, Tina, Laura, Elaine and the late Linda. Loving sister to Evelyn & Eugene, proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Friday December 27th from 4:00-7:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Maria Goretti Church, 112 Chestnut St. Lynnfield on Saturday at 10AM with the burial to follow at Westview Cemetery in Lexington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St. Danvers, MA 01923.
