Victoria R. "Rita" (DelRossi) Knight passed away at the Sawtelle House in Reading surrounded by family on Tuesday, July 10, 2012. She was 86 years of age. Rita was born in Wakefield on April 11, 1926 to the late Antonio & Julia (Benedetto) DelRossi. She was raised in Wakefield, graduated from Wakefield High School, lived in Melrose for over 50 years and in Florida for the past 20 years. Mrs. Knight was the founder of Knight Harrison Fuel Company in Melrose with her husband Don. Rita cherished the times spent with her family, grandchildren and her extended family. She loved to garden, cook, and shop. Mrs. Knight was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Donald C. Knight Sr. Loving mother of Terry D. Knight & his wife Erin of North Reading and the late Donald C. Knight Jr. & his wife Lois Knight of Saugus. Devoted grandmother of Courtney, Brian, Chandler, Cameron, Rachael & Madylin. Caring sister of Rose Pallidino of Peabody, Frances Arsenault of Reading and the late Michael, Tony, Dick & Nicholas DelRossi & Mini Beaudoin. Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
