Obituary

Virginia D. (Robbins) Stewart Barrett passed away at the Notre Dame Long Tern Care Center, in Worcester, on December 23,2006, she was 87. Virginia was born in Arlington, raised in Newport RI and graduated from Rogers High School, Class of 1937. Mrs. Barrett worked in the Human Resources Department for Sears in Lynn for 20 years and sold handbags for Filene's in Burlington for 17 years. Virginia has been a resident in Melrose for over 50 years, she was a longtime member of the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church, she enjoyed knitting sewing and traveling. Virginia was the wife of the late George W. Stewart & Lawrence Barrett. Mother of Geoffrey M. Stewart & his wife Sally of Shrewsbury and Jodi A. Stewart of Franklin, NH. Sister of the late Clare Buckley. Grandmother of Christopher & Patrick Stewart, Willie, Peter & Stewart Leblanc. A funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. Dec. 28th at 10:00AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8PM. Interment in Wyoming Cemetery Melrose.
