Virginia B. (Thomson) Himmelwright passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, on October 20,2006, she was 91 years of age. Virginia was born and raised in Malden, graduated from Malden High School & Malden Business School. Mrs. Himmelwright was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Malden, moving to Melrose a few years ago. She loved her family and was the grand babysitter of the entire family. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Walter P. Himmelwright. Loving mother of Judith F. Himmelwright of Malden & Sandra H. McCowan & her husband Doug of Melrose. Devoted grandmother of David J. McCowan & his wife Susan of Scituate, Jeffrey P. McCowan & his wife Andrea of Danvers, Karin G. Torres & her husband Frederick of Stow and James D. McCowan of Melrose. Cherished great grandmother of Emma, Alice Virginia, Lea, Meghan, Macie, Kelly, Sarah, Anna & a special great granddaughter Marie of France. Sister of Grace Biggs of the Midwest.
