Obituary

Virginia M. (Masiello) Velluto passed away at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Peabody, on June 25th, she was 92. Virginia was born in East Boston, raised in Melrose and attended Melrose Schools. Virginia lived in Melrose most of her life, Florida the past 25 years and summered at Bow Lake in NH for the past 60 years. Mrs. Velluto was one of the founding members of Incarnation Church in Melrose, was a member of the Melrose Fish & Game Club and enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening & needle point. Most of all she was a devoted mother, grandmother & great grandmother, family was everything to Virginia. She was the beloved wife of 69 years to Anthony J. Velluto. Loving mother of Anthony J. Velluto of Exeter, NH, John F. Velluto & his wife Florence of Marblehead and Mary V. Velluto of Peabody. Sister of Antoinette Netta Snow, Ernest Masiello both of Melrose and the late Pat & Charlie Masiello. Devoted grandmother of Ann, Lisa, Christopher, David, Matthew & Nathan. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Thurs. June 30th at 8AM. Funeral mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Wed. 4-8 PM. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 129 Morgan Dr. Norwood 02062.
