Vittoria G. Vicky (Gallo) Eppoliti, of York, ME, formerly of Melrose, died at home on Sept. 4, 2007 at the age of 87. Vicky was born & raised in Manhattan, NY. She was a graduate of Washington Irving High School in the Bronx, Hunter College in New York City and received her Masters in Education from Middlebury College in Vermont. Vicky resided in Melrose for 46 years and the past 7 years in York, ME. Mrs Eppoliti worked as a librarian at the Melrose Public Library in the Children's section for 19 years, retiring in 1991. She loved all kinds of animals; especially her dogs & cats. Vicky had a passion for reading, crossword puzzles, knitting and great food. First and foremost, she had a great love for her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond A. Eppoliti. Loving mother of Marissa F. Eppoliti, Michael V. Eppoliti & his wife Marilyn, all of Melrose and Lisa V. Picard & her husband Michael of York, ME. Cherished grandmother of Greg & his wife Janet, Jennifer, Jason & his wife Gretchen, Joshua & his wife Angelia and Jonathan & his partner Jeff. Great Grandmother of Killian, Baylee, Elizabeth, Ashley, Nicole and Logan. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Monday Sept. 10th at 9:30AM. Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10:30AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from 2-6PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
