Wallace E. "Wally" Marchant, of Melrose, died at home on Dec. 21, 2015 at the age of 43. Wally was born in Cambridge, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1990. He was a lifelong Melrose resident and worked as a Postal Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 10 years. Wally was a member of the East Side Athletic Assoc., in Malden & dart League for many years. He enjoyed going to Foxwood & Las Vegas and was an avid Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox and Celtics fan. Wally was the devoted son of Beverly (Clements) Marchant & the late Wallace Marchant of Melrose. Loving father of Justin W. Marchant. Caring brother of Lynne Murphy & her husband Kenneth of Melrose, Kathleen Bell & her husband James of Everett, Denise Cassidy & her husband Mark of Woburn, Donna Lombardo of Stoneham and Beverly Notarangeli of Melrose. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Visitation in the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, Dec. 27th from 12-3 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 28th at 11 AM. Relatives & friends respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
