William J. Burbank, of Melrose, died at the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford on Sept. 16th at the age of 81. Bill was born in Boston, raised in Melrose and was a lifelong Melrose resident. He was a former member of the Melrose Lodge of Elks and a Navy Veteran during WWII. Bill was the beloved husband of Hazel M. (Fall) Burbank. Loving father of William Burbank of Revere, Loretta Roddy & Keith Higgins, both of Melrose. Also survived by 5 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Tuesday Sept. 21st at 11:00AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Monday Sept. 20th from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
