William J. "Bill" Doyle, Sr., of Melrose, died at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Dec. 21, 2012 at the age of 75. Bill was born & raised In Prince Edward Island & Medford and a graduate of Medford High School. He resided in Medford for several years and the past 44 years in Melrose. Bill worked as a Truck Driver for Boston University for 25 years and a Bartender at the Dug Out in Kenmore Square for 10 years. He was a former member of the Irish American Club in Malden. Bill was the beloved husband of Anna Lee "Nancy" (O'Leary)Doyle for 44 years. Devoted son of Esther & the late James Doyle of Canada. Loving father of Kristina M. Millard & her husband David of Windham, NH, William J. Doyle, Jr. of Melrose and Andrea L. Doyle-Day & her husband Steven of Wakefield. Cherished grandfather of Kayla, Allie, Sean, Samantha, Liam, Steven, Aidan and Ryan. Caring brother of Mark, Edward, Leo, John, Roy, Phillip and Raymond Doyle, Anne Shea, Margaret Profit, Christine Murray, Claire MacPherson, Mary Riox, Angela Perry, Marie Chaisson and the late Stella McLellan. Brother in law of Mary Ellen O'Leary of Melrose. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday Dec. 28th at 9AM. A Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4-8PM. Burial in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
