William J. Forrest Jr. passed away at Woodbriar Nursing Center in Wilmington, on January 9, 2007, he was 95. William was born & raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School, Class of 1930. Mr. Forrest served in the US Coast Guard during WWII. He worked as a Quality Control Specialist for the ITEK Company of Burlington and the Manning Maxwell Moore Company of Watertown for many years. Mr. Forrest has been a resident of Malden for the past 95 years. William is the husband of the late Doris E (Martin) Forrest. Father of Carol Adams & her companion Erwin Towle of Dracut, James Forrest & his companion Rose Shola of Lawrence, Peter Forrest & his wife Kathleen of NH, John Forrest & his wife Diane of Lynnfield and the late David Forrest. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St. Melrose, on Friday, Jan. 12th, at 10AM. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting hours Thurs. 4-8PM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.
