In loving memory of William B. Long, known by all as "Billy" of Melrose, MA. Born June 30th 1955, Son of John William "Jack" Long and Dorothy Crane both of Melrose. Pre-deceased by his sister Patricia Long Masone.

Billy was Navy veteran of the USS Nimitz. Billy was known for his time spent working at harvard university, his love for sports, his vast carpentry skills, and locksmithing abilities. Most importantly he loved spending time with family and friends. Billy was also a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus of Melrose for many years.

Billy is survived by his wife Arsenia Macaraeg Long, daughters Janine and Patricia Long and their mother Carol Long, and sister Heidi Lim. Loving grandfather to Amari and Jase. Uncle to Jacqueline Masone DiCenso, Spencer, William, Seamus, and Summer. Great uncle to Giovanni and Anastasia. Also, loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by any and all who knew him

Vising hours will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM in the Gately Funeral Home. Family & Friend's are respectfully invited to attend.
