William P. McAnneny passed away unexpectedly at home on Wed. Feb. 18th at the age of 53. He was born in Somerville, raised in Medford, graduated from St Clement High School in Somerville and attended Boston State College. William served in the Navy during the Vietnam era. Bill was a supervisor at N -Star Electric Co. in Dorchester for 34 years. He was a Wakefield resident for 21 years where he coached Little League Baseball, Youth Soccer and conducted youth hockey clinics. Bill was the husband of Christine C. ( Charos ) McAnneny. Father of Brian W. McAnneny, attending the Mass Maritime Academy and Matthew C. McAnneny, attending Malden Catholic High School. Son of Evelyn (Crowe) McAnneny of Medford & the late John McAnneny. Son-in-law of Constantine & Catherine (Hegerich) Charos of Melrose. Brother of Helen P. O'Brien of Methuen, Kevin M. McAnneny of So. Weymouth and Joan M. Clarke of Brockton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W Foster St Melrose on Tues. Feb 24th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield at 10 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 4-9 PM. Burial will be in Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
