William M Stuffle, 85 of Melrose Massachusetts, formerly of East Boston MA. Passed away October 3rd after a lenghtly illness. Bill, as he liked to be called, was born to William and Mildred Stuffle of East Boston, graduated from Brighton High School in their Automotive Program and then pursued a career as a Boiler Maker/Welder in the Ship yards of Boston. From there he met his wife Gina at the Caravan Club in Revere and started a family in Saugus Mass before moving to Melrose 50 years ago when he started a new career as Saugus Police Officer, a job he loved until he retired in 2006. He especially enjoyed his fi rst walking route in Cliftondale Square and fi nishing his career walking the same route, talking with all the store owners.
“Bill” is survived by his wife Gina T. ( Giggi), his son William C. Stuffe and his wife Karen of Saugus, his daughter Ginamarie “Gina” Stuffle of North Andover. He is also survived by his beloved nephews, who made it back in time to see him before his passing, Bruce Phillips of El Cajon CA and Richard Phillips and his wife Tessa of Escondido CA. with their children and grandchildren.
He was predecessed by his lovely sister in law - Nicolette “ Nikki” Phillips of Poway, Ca.
Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster Street, Melrose on Friday October 10th from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral Service will be held at Gately on Saturday October 11th at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Wyoming Cemetery in Melrose. Family & Friend's respectfully invited to attend.
