William E. 'Footsie' Wyeth passed away at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital on April 4th, he was 85. Bill was born in Cambridge, raised in Malden and was a lifelong resident of Melrose. He worked for Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in the dietary department for over 25 years, retiring in 1985. Bill was a member of the Melrose Elks, an associate member of the VFW Harold O'Young Post #2394 in Melrose was an avid Red Sox fan. He was the son of the late Harold K. & Laura M. ( White ) Wyeth. Dear friend of Catherine Blanchette of Melrose. Brother of Barbara Carozza of Malden, Frank Wyeth of SC, Kenneth Wyeth of Malden, George Wyeth of NY, Marie Whelpley of Halifax and the late Harold Wyeth, Lillian Comeau and Robert Wyeth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Gately Funeral Home 79 W. Foster St. Melrose on Wed. April 7th at 8AM. Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, Herbert St. Melrose, at 9AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tues 4-8 PM. Burial will be in Forest Dale Cemetery Malden.
